Japan to Develop Technical, Educational Ties with Iran

TEHRAN Dec. 22 (Mehr News Agency) – The Japanese should expand their technical, educational relations with Iran next year, Head of Iran’s Technical, Vocational Training Organization (OTVT) Mohammad Amin Sazgarnejad stated here Monday.

Some major Japanese industrial firms like Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Honda share huge piles of investments in Iran, Sazgarnejad stated in a meeting with the Japanese ambassador to Tehran. “Therefore, Japan should seize the opportunity in order to train the Iranian workforce and provide them with modern industrial skills,” he stressed.

Japan has recently made large investments in Afghanistan, he said, adding that they can extend their works in the neighboring Iranian provinces. “Iran has already announced that it tends to establish a training center for Afghan women in Sistan and Baluchistan Province,” he added.

Sazgarnejad, who is also the Deputy Minister of Labor, said that the OTVT would warmly receive any suggestions by the Japanese experts in mechatronic, electronic, CNC turning, and auto-mechanic fields.
